Ceris Morris
Ceris Morris brings over 35 years of experience in fundraising leadership across the cultural and higher education sectors. Most recently, as Director of Global Fundraising at the University of Sheffield, she co-led the University’s first major fundraising campaign, exceeding the ambitious £250 million target. Ceris is experienced in building collaborative teams and developing lasting relationships with donors and partners. She has worked with a wide range of arts organisations including Sheffield Museums, Phoenix Dance, and Music in the Round, combining thoughtful leadership and hands-on management to help organisations grow and thrive.
Ceris has held advisory and trustee roles with Yorkshire Artspace, Galvanize Festival of Contemporary Metal, and Gorton Monastery in Manchester and is currently a member of the Development Council of Sheffield Theatres. A committed mentor, Ceris continues to support the growth of early-career fundraising professionals.
Ceris was born and raised in Wales surrounded by music, art and eisteddfodau. She sang in choirs and musicals and played violin (badly) in her school orchestra. She is passionate about the role that arts and music can play in changing the lives of young people and is thrilled to be able to support Harmony Works realise its vision.
