Events - Heritage Open Days 2026

Harmony Works is thrilled to open Grade II* listed Canada House to the public before we close for major renovations later in the year. Come along to hear about its fascinating history and learn more about its exciting future as a new home for youth music in the region.

On display will be an exhibition capturing the quirks of the building as it is now by 1st Year Photography Students at Sheffield Hallam University, information about some of the previous working lives that have inhabited the building, and a chance to view our plans for the future.

Our tours will take visitors to the old first floor offices – including the stunning painted boardroom – and the ground floor main hall where visitors will marvel at the beautiful domed ceiling.

Bring your stories of Canada House to share with our team over a cuppa! Paying your gas bill, dancing at the night club, eating at the Chinese buffet, or working in an office with a view – we would love to hear from anyone with memories of Canada House at our Memory Cafés.
