Harmony Works Celebrates The Opening Of Leah’s Yard

As Harmony Works brings Canada House, a key part of Sheffield’s built and social heritage back to life, it was great to bring music to support the opening of Leah’s Yard over the August Bank Holiday weekend, collaborating with TracksSheffield Music Academy, the Department of Music at University of Sheffield and Sheffield Music Hub

The event showcased musical talent from young people across the city and we were delighted to be part of the celebrations.Leah’s Yard, a wonderful historic gem in the very heart of our city, has recently undergone major renovations to transform the space into a social hub for independent businesses, while maintaining a sympathetic approach to the original design. The building had been on Historic England’s “Buildings At Risk” list before the work and is now the latest addition to the bustling cultural centre around Cambridge Street. It has just reopened to the public and is already drawing crowds and contributing to the reinvigoration of Sheffield’s city centre.
Harmony Works looks forward to many more collaborations with Leah’s Yard over the years to come.
