Tracey Shibli

Tracey has spent over 40 years working across the arts and heritage sectors, beginning her career in marketing and PR for regional and touring theatre. During an eight-year stint in Leicester, she was part of the team that established Phoenix Arts before becoming Head of Marketing, Sales, and Development for the Haymarket Theatre – at a time when the theatre was well-known for producing musicals that transferred to the West End.

In 1995, Tracey moved to Sheffield to take up the role of Administrative Director for the Sheffield Chamber Music Festival, working alongside the internationally acclaimed string quartet, The Lindsays. Together with the quartet’s leader, Peter Cropper, she helped establish Music in the Round, evolving the annual festival into the year-round national programme it is today and establishing a rich music education programme.

Since 2005, Tracey has balanced her professional life with her family, working as a freelance fundraising consultant. She has supported a wide range of clients including Greentop Community Circus Centre, VocalEyes, Forced Entertainment, The Sheffield Wheat Experiment and Gary Clarke Company. Her current work as Development Director for Concerteenies and fundraiser for Harmony Works is fuelled by a simple conviction: that high-quality musical experiences should be an essential part of every child’s life, rather than a luxury.

When she isn’t at her desk, Tracey is usually found on a tennis court, out walking with her dog, or in the garden tending to her extensive collection of dahlias.
